Yetta Myrick, DC Autism Parents (DCAP) President and Founder, co-produced C-SPAN BookTV's In Depth with author, animal science professor, and autism advocate Temple Grandin on November 1, 2009.
Dr. Grandin, who was diagnosed with autism as a child, is the author of eight books, including Thinking in Pictures: and Other Reports from My Life with Autism, Animals in Translation: Using the Mysteries of Autism to Decode Animal Behavior, and her most recent publication Animals Make Us Human: Creating the Best Life for Animals. Dr. Grandin currently teaches livestock behavior at Colorado State University and has consulted with the livestock industry on animal welfare, handling, and facility design.
